I don't think it makes much sense to have a fully modified 600 and then try to restrict it to keep speeds down. I think the stock 600 with some add-ons then maybe a carb rule would make the class more affordable and more important, MORE COMPETITIVE. Right now the noise and the speed make this class exciting, we need to tighten the gap between FIRST PLACE and TENTH PLACE to make the RACES more exciting. There are alot of things you could do to come up with a good set of rules for this engine. The manufactures would like to see them out there. I thought the old CHAMP-LITE was agood class and I don't see why it couldn't work with 600's as the PREMIERE CLASS in oval racing. Some of the best races I've ever watched were in the stock classes,Just some of my thoughts. THANKS Philip

WISH LIST... "New Champ Rules"
OPEN CHASSIS anything goes (yes Howard even the 106" tracks) must weigh 375 lbs. Basically the way the CHAMP rules are now. Maybe change the names PRO FORMULA 600 and PRO FORMULA 600 OPEN. The engine would be a stock 600 with pipes and maybe reeds, Engine would be SEALED and CERTIFIED by the engine builder of your choice (I.E. CRATE\SPEC ENGINE). It would be nice to run these on 93 PUMP GAS. I have heard that this would be a tech mans nightmare but it is the premiere class so they should be teched. Anyway theres a lot we could do with these rules and I would love to see something like this happen, maybe see if we could get a sled back out there. PRO FORMULA 600 OPEN would stay the same. PHILIP

Howard, I think you're getting way off "TRACK" with this (no pun intended) I never said anything about BANNING these tracks (which by the way if they were I guess we wouldn't worry about cost or obtaining one) We need to realize that there are more "LOW BUDGET" teams out there than you think,and anything we can do to keep cost down in JUNIORS or SRINT CLASSES is what they need to hopefully get to the next level.

WOW !!!!! I can't believe it...
EAGLE RIVER is finally here, I've been like a little kid waiting for SANTA CLAUS to come. I hope that feeling never goes away, Its been an exciting season so far and I'm sure this weekend will be no different.Can't wait to see the results and watch some racing on the internet.
